You will be now.
John Green is my favorite geeky dude. I love to read–an abnormal amount. Recently I’ve enjoyed reading books written by John Green. Most people will know him as the author of The Fault In Our Stars, the book and movie that made every girl cry, fear her boyfriend has cancer, and consider getting a pixie cut. However, my favorite book of his is actually Looking for Alaska.
John Green’s novels work so well and resonate with me personally because, while each has a different plotline, all of the novels share one main focus: human emotion. The main characters are used as tools to explore the development of a human emotion, such as grief.
And now, this wonderful human being uses his gift of language to describe mental illness in society in a profoundly accurate way. Watch his video below–skip over the first part about his made up holiday “Pizzamas”, or don’t because it seems pretty awesome honestly.
