The Totally Mental blog is an extension of the @totally.mental Instagram account where I share the reality of mental illness and encourage others in their mental health journey. By opening up about my own experiences here, I hope to not only show people who are struggling they are not alone, but also to show people who don’t experience mental illness what it really looks like. Everyday people have mental illness, and everyone has mental health.
About Hannah 
I’m an empathetic, passionate writer who believes in the importance of feelings and vulnerability. I love listening to others share their honest selves, and I get excited about helping people. I cry multiple times a week, cannot keep a poker face to save my life, jump 10 feet high at loud noises, and get anxious changing lanes when driving and in crowds. I have general anxiety disorder and clinical depression. I go through ups and downs with my mental health, just like everyone else.
I am passionate about helping those with mental illness and promoting the fact that everyone has mental health. Outside of Totally Mental, I am a trained volunteer Crisis Counselor and a freelance writer.
